Deadlines
Both cards carry the same four fields. One limits whether a return may be filed at all, the other whether there is a free label for it.
The four fields
- Activate valid period
-
The main switch. With it off there is no window at all and every order stays returnable indefinitely.
- Specification of the deadline
-
Two modes. One counts along per order, the other ends on the same day for everyone.
- Period or date
-
A number or a date, depending on the mode. Dates go in as YYYY-MM-DD, and the last day counts until midnight.
- Order delivery status
-
Where the clock starts. The status has to be set, otherwise there is no return - and it must not lie further back than the window.
Where the starting point comes from
- From the status history
-
The plugin looks up the entry that set the configured delivery status and counts from that moment. Not from the order date.
- Without an entry
-
If there is no history entry, the creation date of the delivery applies - but only if it currently sits in that status. Otherwise no return is possible.
- Without a delivery
-
If the order has no delivery record at all, the deadline does not apply and the return is not possible.
The second card
- Label deadline settings
-
The same four fields, for DHL and UPS labels only. That lets you keep free return postage shorter than the right of return.
