Storefront
Two designs for the same return, selectable per sales channel.
The login to the order, the list in the customer account, the page of the order, the form and the page of each return come in two designs. Way, fields and messages are the same in both, switching is possible at any time, and the colours come from your theme.

Modern and Standard compared
How do the designs “Modern” and “Standard” differ?
“Modern” is the default, after an update too: a coloured head, a row of steps as with parcel tracking and cards with icons. “Standard” stays close to the Shopware account pages, for shops whose customer account should look all of a piece.
“Modern”: on the left the head on a gradient of the primary colour with status, text and chips, on the right on a light area “How it works” or “Progress of the return”.
“Modern”: every content in a card with a light head, icon in a white tile, “Step 1” and title.
“Standard”: heading “Return”, the row of steps horizontal with circles and icons.
“Standard”: open sections with title and line, numbered from “1.” to “4.”, without frames.
| Part | “Modern” | “Standard” |
|---|---|---|
| Head | coloured head with a line in capitals, title, text and chips; on the right “How it works” or “Progress of the return” | heading like the Shopware account pages, data row in the layout of the order list |
| Content | cards with a light head, icon, title and explanation; steps as “Step 1” to “Step 4” | open sections with title and line, numbered “1.” to “4.” |
| Row of steps | vertical in the head, with tick and ring | horizontal across the full width, circles with icons |
| Text of the status | in the head below the title | blue notice below the row of steps |
| Lists | rows with tile, pill and bar | grid with header row, square tag, bar and “Step 2 of 4” |
| Creating | fields only from a quantity, “Add file”, summary with items, value of goods and shipping | fields always there, three file fields, notice on required fields, text above the large button |
| Messages | speech bubbles, the shop on the left, the customer on the right | list with dividers |
What stays the same in both designs
The design only changes the look. Whoever switches does not have to set anything up again, and customers with running returns find everything again.
- all five pages: login to the order, list in the account, page of the order, form and page of the return
- the same way, the same fields and required fields, the same checks before and after sending
- the same texts and messages, in every language
- the same addresses; links in older mails still lead to the right page
- notices in both designs as the blue, green, yellow or red notices of Shopware
Design per sales channel
How do you switch the design for a sales channel?
The design is in the configuration in the card “Pages for customers”: “The look of the pages of the return shipments in the shop: “Modern” with a coloured head, steps and cards, “Standard” close to the account pages of Shopware.” The setup assistant sets the first value for all sales channels in step 1; the chapter Setting it up shows how.
- 1
Open Orders › Return shipments and in the side menu System › Settings.
- 2
Choose the Sales Channel at the top, your second shop for example; “All Sales Channels” applies to every channel without a value of its own.
- 3
In the card “Pages for customers” set the Design of the pages for customers to “Modern” or “Standard”.
- 4
Save. The pages show the new design on the next visit.
Colours and phone
Colours from the theme: “Modern” adapts to your shop
Both designs take colours and roundings from your theme; there is no colour setting of their own. “Modern” derives every shade from the primary colour: the gradient in the head, the light areas, the lines and the buttons. Text and icons on the colour get the colour the buttons of your theme have on it.
With a red primary colour the head becomes a red gradient, the area on the right light red.
Buttons, tabs and bars follow the primary colour, here a green.
Completed stays green and declined red, with the colours for success and danger from the theme.
Open statuses stand in the light shade of the primary colour.
What do the pages look like on the phone?
Both designs adapt to the width, from creating the return to the QR code at the branch. Nothing needs scrolling sideways.
“Modern”: the head stacks, the chips wrap, “Progress of the return” follows below.
“Standard”: the row of steps with small circles, the names wrap.
“Standard”: the data row becomes a list, “Return: 50270”.
In the form the quantity spans the full width, the fields with their label above them.
The summary stacks, with the label on the left.
Common questions
Which design is set by default?
“Modern”, for new shops and after an update. The former look is called “Standard” and can be chosen again at any time, also for single sales channels only.
Can every sales channel have a different design?
Yes. The design is a setting per sales channel; “All Sales Channels” applies to every channel without a value of its own.
Does anything get lost when switching?
No. The design only changes the look. Returns, messages, labels and settings stay, and every address stays the same.
Does the design “Modern” fit my theme?
It takes colours and roundings from your theme and derives every shade from the primary colour. With blue, red or green as primary colour it looks like a part of your shop.
Can I set the colours of the pages one by one?
No, there is no colour setting of its own. The colours come from the theme of the sales channel; to change them, change the primary colour of the theme.
Do both designs work on the phone?
Yes. On the phone both stack everything, images get smaller, and labels stand above their values.
